About Us
We are an online counselling clinic serving seven provinces and territories, built for people who want care that is ethical, affirming, and supportive.
We primarily work with queer, trans, and gender-diverse people, as well as people experiencing other forms of marginalization looking for mental health support. Many of the people who find their way here are navigating big questions, transitions, or long-standing patterns they are ready to approach with more care and curiosity.
If you are looking for counselling that is collaborative and respectful, you are in the right place.

What Happens In A Consult
When you book a consult, we will spend about 15 minutes getting to know one another and we will talk about what brings you to counselling. We use video call on the same secure platform we use for sessions, so you can find out whether this feels like a fit before you make any financial or emotional commitment.
Here is what happens:
- You pick a time online. There are no forms to fill in beforehand and no payment details required. Booking takes about 2 minutes.
- We ask what brings you in, what you are hoping counselling might do for you, and whether you have tried counselling before. You share as much or as little as you want to.
- You ask us anything — how we work, what experience we have with what you are bringing, fees, availability, scheduling, or anything else that matters to you.
- If you would like to go ahead, we book a first session and email you the intake paperwork. Typically, this paperwork takes 3-10 minutes to complete. We will also go over it with you in the first few minutes of our first session. Please let us know if paperwork is a barrier for you and we can do it together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
We see adults 19+ only, wherever you happen to be located within the regions we serve.
Most of the people who come to us are queer, trans, or gender-diverse, but that is not a requirement! Many are also carrying the weight of disability, neurodivergence, racism, migration, or other systemic pressures, and that context is fully welcome in the room.
We do not see children or youth, and we are not a crisis or emergency service. If you are not sure whether we are the right fit, just ask!
Where do you provide counselling?
We provide counselling to people physically located in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, or Nunavut at the time of their session.
We are not currently able to work with people located in other provinces or outside Canada. There is more detail on the Where We Work page.
What if I am in crisis?
We are not a crisis or emergency service. We provide scheduled sessions only, and we do not monitor email or voicemail outside business hours.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
If you need to talk to someone right now, you can call or text 9-8-8, the Suicide Crisis Helpline, free and 24 hours a day, anywhere in Canada.
What are sessions like?
Counselling here is a shared process.
In the first session, we will talk about what brings you in, what you want to be different, and how you want to work. After that, sessions are usually 50 minutes, often weekly or every other week to begin with, and we check in regularly about what is helping and what needs to change. Our work may include conversation, emotional processing, education, exploration of patterns and relationships, and practical tools. You decide what you want to discuss.
Sessions are held by secure video. You can pause or end counselling at any time, subject to the cancellation policy for appointments already booked.
Do I need a diagnosis or a referral?
No. You do not need a diagnosis, a doctor’s referral, or a reason that sounds serious enough. You can book a free consult and we will work out together whether counselling here makes sense for you.
Can I see a counsellor here if I live outside BC?
Yes. We work with people located in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Each region has its own section on the Where We Work page.
